It was the first win by a Cotopaxi girls team at the state playoffs since 1984.

Cotopaxi led 12-2 to start the game and 20-18 at intermission. Cotopaxi extended its lead to 36-29 late in the third quarter. The Pirates struggled early in the fourth quarter with turnovers, as the Falcons cut the deficit to 36-35 with 4:31 to go.
